Delhi Airport To Hike Airport Tariffs By A Whopping 774%

The proposed prices of the Delhi Airport are going to create hindrances in the way of flights in the next two to three years. There will be a growth in the airport traffic in the recent times as the per capita income of people is increasing; Standard and Poor’s announced this.

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) is planning to increase the airport tariff by 774%, last time they increased it by 334%. DIAL is the organization which is adopting the responsibility of the modernization of the airport. DIAL is working jointly with Bangalore-based GMR which has 54% share in this joint venture.

The reports are saying that the development in the Delhi airport project emphasizes in the importance of the detailed public-private participation policy and planning at all levels of government. The reports does not expect large international airlines “to cease” operations to Delhi, they may reduce their frequencies of their flights.
