EdServ To Establish e-learning Centre By Investing Rs. 40 cr

Chennai-based e-learning company EdServ is going to establish e-learning centers throughout the nation by investing Rs. 40 crore.

“The aim of opening up EdServ training institutes (EDI) on a national scale, including in towns and rural centers, is to offer aspiring students exam support as well as job oriented skills support services,” EdServ Chairman and CEO, Mr S Giridharan, said in a statement.

The company is planning to establish 200 centers throughout the nation, including 80 centers in South India within the next six months. EdServ is looking forward to get the revenue in the first year of about Rs. 20 crore.

EdServ has around 1,000 distributors for its e—learning platform and the company plans to upgrade many of them into partners for the brick and mortar model as well, EdServ said. As the part of the course curriculum, EdServ is going to offer a free Tablet PC to the students who will enroll themselves in the first year.
