L&T Construction Grabs Orders Worth Rs. 1454 crore

New Delhi: India’s renowned construction company L&T bags orders worth Rs. 1,454 crore including power transmission and water and effluent treatment, in February and this month.

“L&T Construction has won new orders valued … Rs 1,454 crore across various segments in February and March 2012,” the company said in a statement. In the water and effluent treatment segment, L&T bagged the contract worth Rs. 579 crore from Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board.

“The capacity includes providing combined water supply scheme to Attur-Narsingpuram municipalities and the Vallore Corporation. The method will cater to 20 town panchayats and 1,345 rural habitations in Salem District and 11 municipalities … in Vellore district,” it said.

“Domestic orders…include building of an electrical balance of plant works for a 2×660 MW super thermal power plant from a leading developer and another order from Gulbarga Electricity Supply…for various electrical works in Gulbarga and Bidar districts in Karnataka,” it said.
