Mahindra Satyam Buys Global Operations Of vCustomer BPO

Mahindra Satyam acquired the worldwide operations of BRO firm vCustomer by $27 million. This acquisition is going to expand Mahindra Satyam’s business process outsourcing (BPO) operations into retail and consumer technology.

The IT services firm obtained 15% stake in Dion Global Services for Rs 35 crore in the last month. It also set up $50-million venture capital fund in association with SBI Holdings of Japan to invest early in technology start-ups.

“This is the first 100% acquisition by Mahindra Satyam since it became part of Mahindra group,” C.P. Gurnani, Chief Executive Officer, said. He also added in his statement that, “This is a landmark moment in Mahindra Satyam’s resurgence and reflects our investment appetite to enhance domain depth and global scale, across diverse verticals.”

This business treaty with vCustomer will enhance the expertise and customer base in Mahindra Satyam which will further help to evolve the global market.
