Rail Budget May Focus On Upgrading Signaling System

In the rail budget of 2012, Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi may focus on the railway signaling system and telecommunication system in order to avoid accidents. With this railway budget will have the rail coach making factories in Karnataka and Gujarat.

Railways demanded Rs. 50, 000 crore from the Finance Ministry, but they only received Rs. 25, 000 crore for the upcoming fiscal year. Trivedi may also propose some high speed trains which will run by 200 km/hr from Delhi to Mumbai. The 591 km route of Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer-Jodhpur will route will get a train which will run by 350 km/hr.

Sources said that, “Upgradation of the railway routes are very difficult and time taking episode. It will take a long time.” The system of the routes of 19,000 kms from New Dehi-Mumbai, New Delhi-Chennai and New Delhi-Kolkata will be upgraded. Trivedi is going to announce the new rail budget on March 14.
