India Aims $6 Billion From Asset Sales In 2013: Pranab

India is planning to raise 300 billion rupees by selling stakes in state-run firms in the upcoming fiscal year 2013, which is going to start from April 1, says Union Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee.

The government also set a goal of collecting 250 billion rupees by selling assets in the year 2013-14, informed Pranab Mukherjee to the lawmakers by writing a letter to them. He also informed to the journalists that all of the projections by the government are based on the medium-term fiscal policy laid out in the last year 2011-12.

More than that, this financial budget is going to be very important for Congress and for the people of the nation. Because in the last legislative elections of the five states, Congress faced a huge setback that’s why this time they want to attract support of the people as much as they can.
