Most of the information technology companies are consolidating and re-aligning leased office spaces across the metro cities; in order to save their rents and operating costs that will help them to save their operations during this economic setback.
The top IT service providers are operating their work from the Manyata Tech Park in Bangalore which is covering in 5,00, 000 sq. ft. space. The companies like, Cognizant, Nokia-Siemens, Persistent Systems, etc. have their offices in this tech park.
According to the real estate firm Jones Lang LaSalle, 80-85% of the office spaces demands are coming from the IT/ITeS sectors. The sector engaged 28 million sq ft of office space last year compared with 32 million sq ft in 2010.
The IT and BPO sectors have also engaged some space in Hyderabad. This is in addition to around 7,00,000 sq. ft. the company has taken the area on lease in Huderabad’s K. Raheja Mindspace SEZ.
