Tata Motors To Invest Rs. 600 Crores for FICV

Tata Motors announced today their plan to invest Rs. 600 crore for Futuristic Infantry Combat Vehicles (FICV) and is also to set up their new plant for these special cars. Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles Business Unit President Ravi Pisharody told to the reporters that these FICV cars production cost will be Rs. 300 crore and the manufacturing plant will be set up in Rs. 250 crore.

Right now the company is waiting for the government permission for the establishment of the plant. If the government will permit then the factory will be established at Dharwad, Karnataka. Tata Motors apart than three automobile companies of India has received the Expression of Interest (EOI).

In this fiscal year, Tata Motors is eyeing towards 20-25% growth though the prices of the cars increased due to hike in excise duty. Currently Tata is exporting their cars in USA, Nepal, Sri Lanka and African countries.
