Mahindra & Mahindra proposes to set up Rs 3,000 cr plant in Uttarakhand

An investment of Rs 3,000 crore to set up a manufacturing plant in Uttarakhand was proposed by one of the leading auto company in India Mahindra and Mahindra. This news was according to the statement given by the state government.

Last April 26, Pawan Goenka, president of M&M had a meeting with Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna. The manufacturing unit in the said area would have a goal of having 2.5 lakh units annually.

For this to be a realization, the company have sought about 500 acre of land and Rs 200 crore for supplier unit. Since this project will also benefit the government not only the economy, but also the people there, the government had expressed interest in providing land to M&M at Satargunj in connection to the proposed plant.

After this project there will be major investments that will be done in the state. This could not be given enough details for some reasons said the spokesperson of M&M.
