A 4,000 MW ultra power project will be developed in Jharkland. This was made possible with the effort of State-run Power Finance Corp in forming special vehicle, Deoghar Mega Power Ltd.

PFC - Power Finance Corporation
With this, the Deoghar will not become the second Ultra Mega Power Plant in the State while the first is the Tilaiya. The latter company was executed by Reliance Power. To date, only four projects were being awarded by the Power Finance Corporation in the country. These are the Sasan, Krishnapatnma, Tilaya and Mundra in Gujarat.
Twenty bidders were present during the bidding for the Bedabahal UMMP in Odisha. It was the first round of bidding done July of last year. Though this is definitely a good project, there are still some problems that this planned project is expected to face.
This has something to do with their environmental clearance where it needs to be secured first, before any bidding will take place.
