LNG Terminal to be built by Reliance Power and Shell

Reliance Power and energy major Shell is planning to build a terminal off the Andhra Pradesh cost. This sort of agreement will cause the import of 5 million tonne a year of liquefied natural gas from 201. With this, the two will build a floating terminal which they can quickly set up. The location will be near RIL’s D-6 block.

There was a time when there was a shortage of production in the block which significantly affected several power plants in the region. The terminal will surely be of big help to those plants in the region that needs gas supply.

In a statement, the had of LNG De la Rey Venter said that they are really glad that they have the said project with Kakinada Sea Ports and Reliance in implementing the LNG terminal.

A lot of us know that most power plants need enough natural gas to function well. There are actually several power projects in the region with a combined capacity of 8,0000 MV that needs natural gas.
