3000MW Solar Power Project Launching Soon

Among the biggest problem that India is facing these days is electricity shortage which is estimated to be 25-35 GW. According to Mr Kapoor (Joint Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy) mentioned in a statement that there should be an effective and robust policy created by the government in order to address this issue in the soonest possible time.

Implementation of solar energy and other power plants should be given priority and utmost attention. It would really be good to follow what Germany had done with their Energy industry so that India will not anymore be troubled with power shortage problem.

As an address to this problem, the government of India is now working on some plans to set up a 3,000 MW solar power plant in phase 2 of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission. They are also planning to add four solar thermal power projects with the aid of Solar Energy Corporation of India.

The government is also in a constant look on a 6,000 MW projects through the solar-specific renewable purchase obligation (RPO) scheme. With this plans, the government is confident that they could end the power crisis!
