Rs. 225 crore Power Grid Transformers Contract bagged by Alstom T&D India

Alstom T&D India was given a project from the Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. The nature of the project will be to supply and commissioning of transformers. The project is worth Rs 225 crore.

These transformers will be used at Ranchi in Jharkhand, Dharamjaygarh n Chhatitisgarh and Aurangabad in Maharashtra. According to the statement of a certain official in the company, the product will aid in having a transmission system intended for Independent Power Producer (IPP) projects.

These transformers will come from the Alstom T&D and will be delivered at Vadodara in Gujarat. It will not be that much of a problem since the company has its own manufacturing facility in India. In a statement given by the managing director of the Alstom T&D, the project will be able to help strengthen the backbone of the country and will also open a lot of opportunities for them to associate with Power Grid.
