A Tactical Communications System is being planned by the Ministry of Defense and with this, they have decided to invite some big names in the world of technology in order to bid for this Rs 10,000 crore project.
The two known companies, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) are the ones that are racing in order to get the mentioned project. Also, some major players in consortium are Tata Group Company and HCL. For the knowledge of everyone, the Tactical Communications System is a kind of telecommunication network that the country can use in a battlefield.
It is aimed to give signals to the army. This is needed by the army especially if they will be in hilly places where communication and transfer of data are compromised. This network will be able to handle enormous quantity of data and maps. Since this system will be used in peripherals that are always relocated, it needs to be installed easily and quick.
