Yatra.com which is the leading online travel firm in India had done another acquisition which is now its fourth acquisition in two years. The travel site has acquired Travelguru from US-based Travelocity Global.
Travelguru has been known for being an online aggregator for hotel rooms and holiday packages. This is the site where most people are looking for holiday packages where trips to other places are very much common. The co-founder and CEO of Yatra.com, Mr. Dhruv Shringi said that the acquisition will strengthen their domestic hotels and holiday’s business.
It will surely increase their portfolio of services offered and also increase their offers to clients. It would also help them give more value to the money of their clients. Though Yatra.com had acquired the site, still it will function as a separate entity. The company will just invest about Rs 10 crore in Travelguru which could help them build their brand and make their presence known more.
