iGate Q2 net profit jump to about 217.5%

iGate still has a reason to celebrate amidst the crisis the technology companies are experiencing in India. A lot of us have read about the losses of Infosys. Currently, iGate had managed to met their revenue expectations of $ 268 million in the second quarter of this current year that ended last June.

The company had said that they were still able to increase their revenue amidst the delisting of its Indian arm Patni Computer Systems earlier this year. The CEO of the company said that this was not a blockbuster quarter for the company, but they are still doing better amidst the economic problems that the country is experiencing these days.

The decline in their profit was due to the wage hikes and also to forex losses. The company was still able to maintain growth in their top 20 accounts during this quarter. This just shows that growth is still on the side of the business.
