Indo-Pak Cross Border Trade Across LoC worth Rs 424 cr This Year

Through the Salamabad centre in Baramulla district of Kashmir, a goods worth Rs 424 crore have been exchanged in cross-line of Control. With this, a meeting that was chaired by Industries and Commerce Minister S S Slathia was conducted.  According to an official source, Slathia went to the Trade Facilitation Centre at Salamabad in order to review the operations there.

It is really good that an officer of the government would check what is happening on the trade center so that everything that would happen in the place would be legal.

This could prevent any activity that would not render growth to the trade center. For the information of everyone, the barter was conducted with no communication or banking facilities for the traders of both sides and also there are only 21 items that can be traded in this transaction.

Currently, the trade center includes import and export cargo examination halls, two rummages, weigh bridge, fumigation centre, administrative block and a rest room for drivers from across LoC.
