Crime tracking system in Jharkhand by Hughes and NIIT

Crime tracking system is really very important in a certain country. In line with this, the Satellite service operator Hughes Communications India is proud to say that they have been chosen by NIIT Technologies to connect Police Stations in Jharkhand. This is for their Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System project.

This project is part of India’s e-Governance Plan where the country will be applying state of the art technology in carrying out its work like solving crimes. This is really important and can be useful for fast and efficient crime management in the country. This project will cover the whole state of India where its connectivity would reach up to over 14,000 police stations and 6,000 higher police offices across the country.

HCI mentioned in a statement that this order would cost them around Rs 1.67 crore which includes a 4 Mbps recurring bandwith. The good thing with this project is that it will be able to create a database that will act as the central record for all information needed by any police station across the country.
