7% DA Hike For Central Government Employees and Pensioners w.e.f July 2012

With the current economic problems like high inflation and diesel hike price, everyone is really feeling the pressure. This is true with central government employees and pensioners which is why they are pushing a seven per cent increase in Dearness Allowance. This would help them survive comfortably the problems that are set with problematic economic state.

This proposal is likely to be taken up by the Union Cabinet and will be discussed thoroughly as mentioned by a reliable source. If this proposal would be approved, it will surely benefit around 50 lakh of employees and 30 lakh pensioners of the central government. This would not have been a concern if the price of diesel is not increasing.

If ever the proposal would be approved, it would take effect from July 1, 2012. Looking at the history of increase in DA, it was last increased last year from 58 per cent to 65 per cent and it took effect last January 1, 2012.
