Reduced Processing Fee on Low Value Mobile Phone Topups – TRAI

It is really a good thing that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India came up with a regulation that would lower the processing fee on pre-paid top-up vouchers less than Rs 30. This is quite timely since there are now a lot of people who calls other people and they are being priced two much with the current processing fee that telecom companies charge.

It is good that the government would intervene so people could get more from their hard-earned money. Under the new regulation, the operator will charge a maximum of 10 per cent of the voucher value for up to Rs 30 and Rs 3 top-up vouchers more than that.

With this a user can now use Rs 9 fir calls and the other Rs 1 would go to the processing fee, obviously if you buy a Rs 10 voucher. This would definitely be a good regulation for the people of India who wanted to make the most out of their earnings.
