Wind energy major Gamesa India has been successful in bagging a project for SJVN. Then will supply 46.70 MW wind farm equipment to the company. This will be used in its upcoming project in Ahmednagar district in Maharashtra. The contract will be for supplying and building a win farm for SJVN (Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited).

This project is a joint venture of Centre and Himachal Pradesh. The project will involve installation of 56 units of Gamesa G58-850 kw turbines and a 10- year operation and maintenance services. As what we all know, most companies today experience some power shortage and the wind energy has played a big role in addressing this problem.

The wind energy industry had become a great alternative source of energy for most of the big companies today. If this project would become successful, surely more project would come to the company. With new companies emerging, there will always be a need for power and their service will surely be sought.
