Volkswagen Group, which is among one of the leading German automobile group, is all set to open its 25 training centres in India by the year 2015.
Dietmar Hildebrandt, Director of the Volkawagen group, said that at present the company has 12 training centres across the country and they plan to set 25 more such units by 2015.
Boosting up the after sales service of the cars produced by the company in the country is the main reason idea behing setting up the new training centres, announced Hildebrandt at the launching of the first training centre in collaboration with the JIS Group at Dum Dum in Eastern India.
The Volkswagen group sold a whopping 1.13 Lakh units in 2012 with brands including Porshe, Audi, Skoda and Volkswagen.
Around more than nine million units were sold worldwide last year, said Hildebrandt, the Director of the group. The Company is also planning to expand its dealership networks all across the country.
