Sensex Gained 135 Points On Foreign Fund Investments

Stock Exchange

Mumbai: The market started to run fast on the last day of the week. The Indian benchmarks BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty scored the seventh weekly gain due to the foreign funds flow.

On Friday, BSE & NSE gained the highest wave in the whole week. The NSE reached up to 0.77% on Friday, and closed at 5564. 30 points, up 42.34 points, while the Sensex was up by 0.75% gaining 135.36 points and closed at 18, 289. 35.

Technical indicators show that the benchmark index could ripe for a correction as it is deep in overbought territory. The government earlier this month cut the economic growth forecast for the current financial year to 6.9%

NSE Volatility index closed at 0.85 points higher at 24.18 signaling caution. BHEL, HCL Tech, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Power, Axis Bank, Siemens and M&M Steel were the top gainers Nifty, whereas Hero Motocorp, Sesa Goa, Maruti, Reliance Infra and Hindalco were the losers on the Nifty. But the Stock Market will be closed on Monday due to Shivratri.
