In order to prevent any spoilage of grains, food grains carrying trucks in 12 Districts of Bihar running from FCI Godowns to state storage have been installed with the GPS system.
Sunil Kumar Pintu, the Food In- charge Minister, in reply to a question asked by Sanjay Sarawgi, one of BJP’s leaders, said that Rohtas, Gaya,Nawada, Aurangabad, Kaimur, East Champaram, West Champaram, Saharsa, Samastipur, Munger, Araria and Purnea are the 12 districts where GPs system will be installed in food grains carrying trucks.
With the help of the Transport Department, these GPS systems will be regularly monitors to keep an eye on the movement of the trucks, He added.
When some of the members found that the GPS system was not functioning properly in all the districts, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Senior Minister assured the members that the matter will be looked into by a Principal Secretary Level Officer next month.
