TCS Launches Passport Seva Project In Delhi NCR

India’s largest software exporter Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in association with Ministry of External Affairs is going to launch Passport Seva Project in order to make the application and issuance of the passports easy for the Nation Capital Region people.

TCS grabbed this project from MEA on October 2008. Total 77 Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) will be set up, 50 PSKs gone live across the country. The first pilot project of this Mission-mode-e-governance was launched in Bangalore. The project is guarantying that the applicants will receive their passports within three days of application with the police verification.

Chandrashekharan, TCS CEO and Managing Director said that, the remaining PSKs will be established by April this year. TCS will maintain the PSKs for next seven years. The maintenance period starts after the construction of the last center.
